 "My husband and I spent a day shooting clays prior to pheasant hunting. Forrest Estate is the most fabulous shooting range that I have ever seen. It is a wonderful experience for novice or pro. There is a beautiful course for youth to experience  a variety of shooting challenges as well. And it is so important for youth to explore the outdoors and have a wonderful shooting experience. Andrew and crew have obviously spent many hours thoughtfully and carefully planning this range.  It is beautiful, clean and well-kept and the views are remarkable. Our day of instruction was well organised and tailored to our needs. I was nervous at first, but the instructors were patient and it became fun immediately. Safety and etiquette were stressed. "I recently went to Forrest Estate with my 17 year old daughter. We had arranged to do some clay pigeon shooting and target shooting but my daughter was concerned that it would be too difficult or that she wouldn't be able to handle the guns.

As it turned out, the focus and attention to detail that Andrew used at our initial briefing was superb and gave us both confidence that we'd be able to hit something and that we had a good basic grasp of gun safety. The actually shooting was tremendous fun and the constant encouragement and help was ideal. My daughter is hooked!

The location and set up of the shooting school is fantastic and we both look forward to returning again soon to bust a few more clays!

"Fantastic Afternoon... Wonderful fun for everyone including the inexperienced!!

My fiancé John and I recently visited the United Kingdom from Australia for the Olympic Games. Following on from our time in London we visited Forrest Estate to try Clay Pigeon Shooting. I had never held or shot a gun before and I was extremely nervous. Andrew was a wonderful guide and gave detailed helpful instructions on how to handle the gun and what etiquette is expected when you are visiting a shooting ground. His knowledge and friendliness made it a warm and welcome experience.

I didn’t think I would hit any of the clays and told Andrew I would be happy if I just hit one. At the end of our afternoon I had shot 8 clays; a small number but one that I am proud of and a number I wouldn’t have achieved without Andrew’s advice and encouragement. This experience has given me a taste for Clay Pigeon Shooting and I will be looking for a shooting ground in Australia that hopefully offers the same experience and if we visit Scotland again Forrest Estate will definitely be on our itinerary.

John and I wished we had have known about Forrest Estate earlier as we could have easily spent 3 or 4 days on the estate learning from Andrew and experiencing this beautiful part of the world.
